PPJ Week 6 Ian
This week, I stopped working on my lever code, and began working on switches and signs. So far, switches are mostly done, and signs are coming along well, though I haven’t pushed either. To clarify, the lever object was to be a game object that could be interacted with by way of the hook, and would activate or deactivate traps, open or close doors, etc…, whereas switches are not physics-based, and just involve pressing the “E” key near the switch object to activate. Signs display text to the screen when interacted with in the same way.
The reason I had to stop working on the levers was, beside the fact that my work wasn’t getting anywhere quickly, was that the level design team’s work is getting on quite well without levers, and switches and signs are more valuable to the game.
